As we cruise into an era of more technology and less “paper and pencil”, more and more music camps are moving to electronic means to display their curriculum. This makes sense on many levels, from a “save the trees!” stance to the practicality of a tablet versus stacks of binders and papers.
However with tablets or phones there is still the issue of positioning the device, and typically folks go with a standard music stand or one of the many tablet stands available.
This is functional but as the kids say, “just mid”. Traditional music stands are space hogs and tablet stands are very one dimensional; they only hold a tablet.
Why is that important? Because as the somewhat rocky transition from sheet music to tablets becomes more common, there will be a mix of reactions (especially in the banjo crowd, a salt-of-the-earth bunch!).
We have witnessed several music events offer a variety of media to ease the “paper vs tablet” debate, and we at the Stealth Stand are firm believers in this approach.
One of the innovative features of the Stealth Stand is that it can hold a wide variety of media types, due to the patented “multi slot” design. This is why it has been called “the Swiss Army Knife of stands!”. This makes the Stealth Stand the perfect display solution for events that use a combination of paper and digital devices.

In addition to use with a floor-mounted tripod, the Stealth Stand can also be worn on the users knee, thereby taking up far less space than a traditional music stand and positioning the media closer to the eyes of the user (eyes that are often not at their peak, in the bluegrass crowd!). And due to the small profile of the Stealth Stand (about the size of half a grapefruit), you can literally pack it around in your pocket or instrument case.

So, the Stealth Stand is the obvious choice for events needing to display both paper and digital media. However there is still a problem to be solved: a page turning solution for the tablets. You can’t expect users to swipe screens as they play, so that’s where Page Turning Pedals come in!
After researching what’s available, our team at Stealth Stand has found the perfect solution: the Stomp Mini page turner! Made by American company Coda Music Tech, this pedal is amazingly compact at 2 inches square, making it the perfect companion for our Stealth Stand. Now you can pack your music stand and your foot pedal in your instrument case, a game changer!

Naturally we called up the head honcho Rob and told him we love the pedal, and soon discovered that we were the perfect team to provide paperless solutions to music camps. Rob is also a musician and shares the vision of improving music education, and so we came up with a plan:
To provide music camps and similar events with a turn-key solution for tablet display, including multimedia stands, page-turning pedals and music apps. Camp directors will have exclusive access to our innovative products as a package, and professional support to ensure that event attendees have the best possible experience.
